It's been such a busy and eventful month. Work itself hasn't been very different, though I suppose that much is to be expected. Now that the holiday bustle is over, things have actually slowed down a bit. Still, I prefer this as it allows me to properly keep on top of things.

Oh dear me. The poor families. I can't imagine how horrific that must be, such a horrible way to die.
Not to mention the werewolf.
Not too long after the nundu either.
And I

Happy Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year.
It's been a surprisingly busy week at the Ministry, though fairly quiet with so many people away on holiday. Christmas was lovely I'd almost forgotten what it was like to have someone around and managed to make my first proper Christmas dinner. It was surprisingly good, or at the very least not burnt. New Years is likely to be as eventful and I'm looking forward to it as well.

Christmas isn't too far away, and I'm happy to have managed to get all of the presents. Some were a little more difficult than others, but I do hope they'll be well received.
Private I just realised this week that this will be the first Christmas in ten years where I won't be alone. It's a bit odd to think it's been ten years since Auntie Amelia -
It's so weird to be excited about Christmas, but I honestly can't wait.

Nearly December now. Sometimes I find myself quite surprised at the passage of time. It feels like only a few weeks ago it was the middle of summer, and now it's already Advent. I did enjoy the tree-lighting. It was lovely.

Sometimes I find myself surprised how quickly time passes. Summer was only a few weeks ago, and now here we are mid-November. Granted, it's a much milder November, and one of the girls said it was almost fifteen this afternoon. Of course, that was down in London, but it isn't too bad here, either.
[Private] I have started on my Christmas list, not that it's very long, but it's always good to be prepared. I'm still not sure about Han

What a lovely way to start the weekend.
[Justin and Ernie] Have you heard anything about Hannah or Neville? I read the papers, but it doesn't seem very clear.

I'm not really sure I understand what was supposed to be so bad about what the Weekly said. What is so bad about being considerate?
I was going to say something else, but I [Ernie]
I was thinking I could make dinner this Saturday? I have a new recipe I'd like to try out and it might be nice.

[Ernie] I just wanted to apologise for everything again. I really didn't mean any of it the way it sounded, and I'm sorry it ended up in the weekly.
[Hannah and Justin] I just thought I should apologise to you both for anything I might have said over the past week. I really didn't mean to make anything uncomfortable or difficult.
Oh, and Hannah, you looked really pretty in the Weekly.

The game was great, though it was a real shame we lost. I'm sure the Arrows will be really great for the rest of the season though. Next time, Ernie, you should really come with us.
Then the Magpies were great too, though it was a shame, poor Mr. Flint.

Despite the rain, it's actually been a rather lovely weekend. Yesterday was nice and warm, and I do wish I hadn't spent most of it indoors, but needs must.
I'm doing my best to ignore
[Ernie]
Would you mind Are you busy Could I borrow you for a couple hours? I know Hagen's keeping you busy, and you can always bring him along, but I'd like to put up better wards and I'm sure it'd be stronger if you helped.
I'm sorry I Please?
[Private] They could be anyone. Anyone
What if the come after me?
I know I'm not important enough, but who knows how many of them out there, what they're planning
There could be dozens of Death Eaters, we don't even know what most of them look like, and even if we did it's been 8 years now, they must all look different, or it would have been noticed by now.

I do hope the weather turns better over the weekend. It's been such a wet week. I do hope summer isn't over already. Though I'm sure it'll surprise us all and be bright and cheery out.
[Ernie] Doing any better? Things looked a little calmer in the Ministry, so I was hoping it was a bit better in your office as well.
By the way, have you got any plans for the weekend?
[Justin]

I’m quite fond of August. The weather’s quite lovely out, the sun has been shinning most of the day, and the weekend was really quite lovely, save that bit of rain on Saturday; even ended up heading outside for a few hours on Sunday. Work itself hasn’t been too bad either. It is, of course, one of our slower months, but it allows me to get caught up with some of the backlog. There isn’t much, but I do prefer being on top of things as Helga know they’re important. Though I do imagine that once people get back from holidays and the schools start again that will change.

I love ice cream. Though I imagine most people love ice cream. I'm quite partial to mint chocolate chip. I do hope everyone had a chance to pop in, it looks quite lovely, like the last time it was open. It's nice when we have good things happening

This weekend looks very lovely actually, I think I might work outside.
[Private] I'm not even certain what to think about the whole situation. No, I did not know Morag Macdougal, and despite what some people have said, she seemed a lovely person. Had everything one might thing one might want, only to end up... I suppose all we can do is pray. Why does that sound so horribly depressing?

Thank God
I imagine it's good that they've removed the restrictions. I suppose we'll just have to see how things work.
Justin, I was hoping perhaps we could go to Mara's, if that suits? Otherwise we could try the Leaky
[Private] I feel rather awful for being relieved at the lifting of the restrictions. Not because they should be lifted, though in all honesty I am pleased that they are for all those who live in muggle areas, but because it will mean less work for us. It's selfish really, and I do wish I wasn't thinking like that.

As much as I enjoy the summer, I do hope we will be seeing a bit more sun than we have thus far.
[Private] Things have been surprisingly quiet since the Zacharias situation. I'll admit I'm more than a little relieved that Pansy has returned to ignoring me, but I cannot help but be more than a little bit concerned. Perhaps I am just being paranoid.
Things at work aren't really helping, and I can't say I really want to discuss the situation, but I'm afraid things will come to a head soon enough.

I was rather surprised at the mention in the Witch Weekly this week. It seems to have started a trend, so unfortunately it may mean that we are unable to get to particular cases as quickly as we once would.
For those of you sending owls, pleased be advised we can only take cases via appropriate channels.
